Description
What is Snippets rich?
A Rich Snippet shows additional data, such as images, ratings, etc. A Rich Snippet is used to display search results. This will only work if you integrate schema.org into your web pages (in either of the open standards microdata, RDFa or RDFa-LD, or microformats). Does it sound complicated? Yeah, that’s it. At least for most people who don’t code.
This is why we have the WordPress plugin for Rich Snippets. Version 2 is below. No coding is required. There is not a single line of code required. You only need to be familiar with the basic functions of schema.org.
What is Structured Data and schema.org?
“Schema.org” is a community-based collaborative activity that aims to create, maintain and promote structured Internet data schemes. The official schema.org homepage states this. The project was developed by Google, Microsoft Yahoo, and Yandex as a standard language to provide structured information to search engines and applications. If you add schemas to your site, search engines will be able to better understand the content of your website. You can, for example:
There’s a heading;
The key point is the content of the blogpost.
Who is the blogger of your blogposts?
The subject of your writing (such as a product review).
You can use the ranking system to determine how you rank goods or other items.
There are many others.
Is it important for SEO?
It’s obvious. Schema.org is out and well-tested for many years. There is no “hype” anymore. As shown in the image above, search engines use it often.
Rich Samples, Rich Search Results, and Rich Search Results are displayed by search engines to provide more information (such as images, ratings, etc.) for the user. ).
Google Webmaster Tools’ Search Console displays structured data.
How do I add structured data?
A few years ago, a good understanding of schema.org would have been required. The problems are:
The average person has no idea how to mark up a product.
Many people have no clue how to code.
The theme must be explicitly changed to use a certain markup (meaning that the theme will no longer be updatable by default).
Theme and plugin developers rarely think of schema.org when developing their own products.
It sounds almost impossible, right? However, I do have a solution for that:
You don’t need to write a line of code if you use the WordPress plugin for Rich Snippets today! It is not necessary to know how structured data works.
