BuddyPress Profile completion is the best solution to encourage or force users to complete their profile widgets and fields. Also, you can apply restrictions to incomplete profiles.

Features:
Three Fields Status: (Forced, Required and Optional).
Forced: The user will be directed to the required fields until it is completed. Once they have done so, they can access other pages on your site.
Required: Users will still be able to use your site, but a widget will display their incomplete required fields. You can also apply restrictions.
Filling them out is optional. Users can fill it in at any time.
Use the Profile Completion System for Specific Roles.
Hide incomplete profiles from Members Directory.
Enable or disable marking complete profiles as verified.
Enable or Disable the following actions for incomplete profiles:
Add & Remove Activity Posts.
Add & Remove Activity Comments.
Add & Remove Activity Replies.
Add & Remove Activity Likes.
Share Activity Posts.
Add & Remove Friends.
Joining and leaving groups.
